Hello my fellow Dark Ren members! Violette here, your friendly neighborhood site fairy.

After a lengthy discussion with other staff members I am afraid I'm going to have to get out my Wand of Getting Shit Done. The activity on DR has been...well...utterly atrocious (ourselves included). Posting has become a chore not just for us, but for all our members, this is painfully obvious by the lack of posting being done in the RP sections and the lack of faces in the Cbox (yes, I see you Tayva, I just wish there were more people around to talk to you). We all have very, very busy lives...I recently just received a promotion at work, Knight just moved into a new house, Lisette has been working night shifts. However, everyone needs to remember that people here at DR are counting on you, you made a commitment to us as a fellow writer, you've started plots and story arcs that are integral part of who and what are characters are going to become.

We can't do it without you.

So I think it's time for some of you to t take a step back and decide if DR is really where you want to be. Some of you are very active on other sites which is perfectly fine, we just don't want you to forget about DR. We know we don't have the greatest and most up to date server for running the site, but Forumotion is one of the best for free hosting and we did a lot of searching. We can't see spending tons of money on new things if no one is here to use it afterwards. We LOVE LOVE LOVE player additions. Got a plot? a New Species? a New City? A new Enemy? TELL US!

Please, for the love of the Divine, tell us what we can do to make your time here at DR more in depth and tell us what we're missing that could potentially keep you here. I happen to like each and every single member of DR and I love RPing here...so lets get it in gear my lovelies and lets make DR the site that everyone wants to join and be a part of.


And that means posting on a regular basis...you know who you are....

Please post to this thread with your opinions (if any, and be tactful!) and with the ascent that you have seen this announcement. We want everyone to be happy to be here, and if one person isn't happy then we need to do what we can to fix it. We can't fix it if we don't know it's broke.

I will try to be more active as well. I try to post every day but I know there are some threads I forget to get to and appologize for. Especially, you Tayva, I think our thread is mostly done I just need to post in it again, and I'm sorry for making you wait. It's not normal for me, I just have been getting busy trying to start my own business so my posting time is not what it once was but I try to post at least once a day.

I will try to be more active in the future,

I just had a midterm, so I should be able to jump back into the site. I'll browse the open threads or come up with one of my own later tonight.

Just my two cents, but perhaps it may help to have a site-wide event to draw interest. Perhaps the outskirts of the city become more dangerous, and there are more frequent attacks made by rift beasts on the edges of the city. Give something for people to unite against. Or there could be strife/war between the cities. All just ideas ^^

Or else we could start some kind of referral programs where people are encouraged to bring people that not only register, but stay active

I have two replies to still get to, and one to start. I'm honestly unsure with what to do with my two mains outside of those threads! It's mainly me, being stumped, and taking another mini 'sabbatical.' Though, I assure ya'll that I'm still around. I'll make another plot page or something too.

I'm about - guilty of checking back for a thread for a while and then kind of giving up, but I'm here. Anyone wants to give me a shout, I will start threads. Things have calmed down a bit for me, at least, which is something.
