PostSubject: Code of Conduct   Tue Mar 06, 2012 3:52 am

This is the Code of Conduct for the Players on DR. They are not open for negotiation, they are here so everyone has a fantastic time.

1. Respect. While it is understood that characters may not get along, we urge everyone to show respect to each other out of character, as this promotes a more comfortable roleplay community, and helps to avoid any issues or arguments.

2. Negativity. Sometimes we can become too involved in our own plots, and while they may evoke negative emotions, you are encouraged to express them in private, or to someone you trust, rather than venting in public, as negativity breeds negativity and could potentially cause issues with your future roleplay.

3. Drama.
Being the creative bunch that roleplayers are, it is a hard task to separate emotions and creativity, and this can unfortunately lead to friction. We understand drama will occur but ask that rather than exasperate things, you speak to a member of staff, or even the person the drama involves directly, to resolve things, so that roleplay can resume as normal.

4. Cliques.
We all have friends we enjoy roleplaying with, and people who we can plot particularly well with, but it is encouraged for players to involve new players, and even those they have not roleplayed with before, in order to diversify and promote a friendly community.

5. Pressure. Time is always a factor when it comes to roleplay, and though it can often seem that things can go slowly, please remember that beyond the confines of the site, people do have lives, and many other things going on. It is asked of players not to pressure others into posting or joining plot lines that they may otherwise be too busy for, or need a little more time before they can fulfill what they already know they need to do.
